From Lynn Howerton

Ticket money is is the mail. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone
and going to TEXAS.

Here is an update on my life after Palo Duro. I lived in California for a
couple of years and returned to Texas Tech where I crammed a five year
architectural degree into 7 years, graduating in 1974. (I was determined to
not let classes interfere with my education.) I was a member of Tau Sigma
Delta, the National Honor Society for Architectural Students and Sigma Chi
Social Fraternity. A move to Ft. Worth followed and I have been in the area
ever since, in Arlington for the past 22 years. While at Tech I met Debra
Bridgman and we married in 1978. We have two kids, 18 year old Tara and 15
year old James. Tara graduates from high school in two weeks and starts
college in August. James just wants a car. Go figure.

I started my own Architectural firm in 1981 and still practice architecture
as a sole proprietor. Along the way I started working for American Eagle
Airlines as a pilot ( I started flying at Tradewinds Airport while at Palo
Duro) and still do that part time as a Check Airman at the Training Academy
at DFW Airport. As an Architect I have completed projects throughout Texas,
New Mexico, Oklahoma and Louisiana. One project of which I am especially
proud is the Combined USNMC Training Facility in Amarillo. SOUDIVNAVFAC (the
Governing Authority for Dept. of Defense) was kind enough to select the
project for an Excellence in Design Award. I understand the facility is
closing due to budget cuts. I now concentrate on select projects such as
schools and churches, private residences, and limited commercial projects
depending on the client.

Thanks for all the work you do in organizing our classmates. Good luck in
completing the lists and I will stay tuned for more e-mails and activities.
I may have left Don Drive but I can assure you it has never left me.

From J C Eslinger

I have been in the airplane business since 12/65. I did 2 contracts in Vietnam
as a Techno Mercenary (I was listed as an MIA for 8 days while I was on a
secret mission to a small country next to VN (I still can't even believe this happened to me),
been a corporate pilot, been to 40+ countries around the world, been the president of a
mega company, made lots of money (lost LOTS of money), have 3 OUTSTANDING
daughters (2 grand daughters), from my first marriage and an
OUTSTANDING, SUPER, BEAUTIFUL, SMART, TALENTED, FUN, (very tight and thrifty) WIFE
named Dr. Suzanne Moore (married 10 years in June, we dated for 6 before I gave in).
She is a Pediatric Psychologist (She specializes in 5 year olds, this has been a great help to me).
I have been in several movies, a TV commercial and lots of Industrial Videos.  I just did a print modeling
gig and I made the cover of a Dallas magazine.  At the risk of name dropping I studied for several months
with Clarence Gillard.  You would know him as Trivet on Walker Texas Ranger.  Now that was one cool experience.
I still fly airplanes, gliders, white water raft, skydive, play golf (Suzanne thinks I am the most unlikely golfer
in the world, but other than being a genius, what does she know?)  I hold two World Aviation Speed Records and
am one of only a small hand full of civilians that has flown most of the US Air Force airplane inventory (also some Navy and Army).
This was one exciting thing for a poor West Texas, PDHS boy.  I also won $5,000 in the Ohio
Lottery a while back when I was up there on a business trip.  That was the BEST $1 investment I ever made.
